About Us
A note from the founder
Oola began with a simple belief: caring for your skin should feel like a beautiful ritual, not another task on your list. I wanted to create a body oil especially for women, one that feels luxurious, absorbs beautifully and leaves skin looking soft, nourished and radiant, never greasy. Every pure and natural botanical in Oola was thoughtfully chosen to help hydrate and restore the appearance of your skin while transforming an everyday moment into a little time for yourself.
Oola is formulated in the USA by women, for women, and celebrates the beauty of your skin at every stage of life. I hope each time you use it, you pause, breathe and remember that you deserve to feel comfortable in your own skin.
With love,
Theresa, Founder
Where It Began
Where it all started: a journey to better skin
This brand began long before the first bottle was ever filled. It started in a moment of honesty, when I realized my skin was changing and the products I’d always trusted were no longer enough. Dryness, crepey texture, uneven tone. It all pushed me to look closer, to listen more carefully, and to stop settling for solutions that only worked on the surface. It became clear that traditional lotions, mostly made of water, were offering temporary moisture but not true hydration or nourishment. Even the “luxury” oils and clean-beauty favorites weren’t giving my skin what it needed, much of the time leaving my skin feeling greasy.
How I Solved It
From my kitchen to you
I didn’t set out to build a brand. I set out to solve a problem for myself. And I did it the way I approach anything that matters: with intention, curiosity, and a deep respect for simple, natural ingredients. Because I love to cook, I approached the problem like a recipe. At my kitchen counter, I blended oils the way I blend recipes: thoughtfully, patiently, adjusting until everything worked in harmony. That process led to a formula that finally made my skin feel nourished again, a luxurious body oil that absorbed beautifully and felt velvety instead of oily.
When It Became Oola
When it became Oola
I began giving this luxury oil as gifts to family and friends, and as they came back, one after another, with empty bottles asking for refills, that’s the moment it stopped being my little project and took on a life of its own. The name became Oola when I put it on my skin for the first time, and it made me say Oola-la!
My Promise
What I promise you
I still make it in small batches. The ingredient list is intentional. Pure. Natural. Nothing I wouldn’t put on my own skin, because I also use it daily.
- Small batches, always. Every bottle is blended by hand, so it’s fresh and consistent.
- Dark glass bottles. They protect the oils from light while reducing the use of plastics and helping minimize microplastic waste.
- Made in Maine, USA. Handcrafted by me, one bottle at a time.
